IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SAMPLE AREA FRAMEWORK (KSA) FEBRUARY 2018

One of the monthly routine activities conducted by BPS Kabupaten Deli Serdang throughout 2018 is the KSA Survey. The survey was conducted in the last week of the month. The February KSA was conducted from February 22 to March 1, 2018. This survey is the second time after the initial implementation in January 2018. The implementation of KSA is conducted by BPS officers and trained partners. They come directly to the specified sample coordinates and photograph the point with a special application.

The implementation of KSA is done in almost all subdistricts in Deli Serdang Regency with different sample proportions according to the methodology set by BPS. KSA is done to improve the method of data collection of wetland area becomes more objective, modern, accurate, and timely. This can be realized by involving the role of technology. KSA officers use android applications tailor-made to photograph a point along with input for observation values. The app will send data directly to the data center for further processing.
