MAPPING AND TERMINATION OF WORKING AREAS STATISTICS OF POPULATION CENSUS 2020

A complete, accurate, relevant and up-to-date sample framework is one of the main keys for presenting quality data. Another important key that is equally important is the statistical work area or Wilkerstat. Wilkerstat is a working area for census activities and surveys conducted by BPS.

Wilkerstat compiled in the 2010 Population Census (SP 2010) is still being used in BPS census and survey activities until 2019. At present the boundaries and loads of the district have changed. Therefore, it is opposed to the Population Census 2020 (SP2020), BPS which conducts the SP2020 Statistical Working Area Mapping and Updating in 2019.

This activity aims to improve the quality of the Wilkerstat map, obtain load information from the Satuan Lingkungan Setempat (SLS) and Non SLS, and obtain a base map for the implementation of the 2020 Population Census. The implementation of this activity uses information technology devices that use Android developed by BPS. This Wilkerstat application is expected to make the quality of the map produced better.

The officers consisting of supervisors and mappers in this activity have provided training in concepts and resolutions as well as direct trials to the field in the use of the Wilkerstat application. This is done so that officers in the field can be more familiar with the procedures for implementing and calculating costs so that quality can be produced.
