The
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) was officially launched by the United
Nations (UN) on September 25, 2015. The concept of the SDGs was first displayed
at the United Nations Sustainable Developments Rio+20 Conference in 2012. SDGs
are a continuation of the MDG's (Millennium Development Goals) which ended in
2015. The SDG has 17 goals and 169 achievements that are measured and applied
throughout the world, including Indonesia. SDG's has also been included in the
2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
Data for
measuring SDG's in Indonesia is taken from several sources. But, most of them
are from the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) BPS-Statistics which
covers at least 11 of the 17 SDG's goals, such as poverty, food, sanitation,
decent living, gender, education, and other indicators. Susenas in 2019 is also
integrated with the Study of Toddler Nutrition Status (SSGB) to supply the
needs of stunting data in Indonesia. In its utilization, Susenas data is also
used by the government and related stakeholders in determining policies along
with evaluations of these policies.
Training is
also given to officers who will conduct direct interviews with selected sample
households so that officers have understood the concepts and definitions in the
questionnaire. Officers are also equipped with tips on data collection and how
to deal with challenges in the field.
