FIRST SEMESTER OF SAKERNAS TRAINING 2019

One of the main tasks of BPS-Statistics is to provide sustainable employment data in Indonesia. The data is collected through the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) which is carried out every semester in the current year. In 2019, it will be held in February for the first semester and August for the second semester. Employment data that can be obtained from Sakernas include estimation of the number of working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators and their development at the national, provincial and regency /manuplicity levels.

Sakernas data collection is done by using questionnaires that already have international standards contained in the International Conference of Labor Statistics (ICLS). The standard used in 2019 is ICLS 20, which has improved the concept of employment status and questions that capture the digital economic phenomenon.

The supervisor and enumerator of Sakernas have received training before going into the field. Training is conducted so that there are similarities in concepts and definitions in carrying out data collection so that the data produced will be maintained with quality. Besides that, in the training, role playing was carried out which aimed to simulate the interview process and the enumerators could find out tips and tricks in the enumeration later in the field.
