ECONOMIC CENSUS 2016 EXTENDED: UMB AND UMK DATA COLLECTION

Economic Census 2016 (SE2016) is one of the mandatory activities undertaken by BPS in accordance with Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics. The SE2016 activities are implemented in stages starting 2014. By 2016, BPS has conducted the Economic Census Listing in 2016, shortened to Listing SE2016. While the continuation of SE2016 activities conducted in 2017 is Data Collection of Small and Medium Enterprises SE2016 Medium or hereinafter referred to as Data Collection of UMK and UMB SE2016.

In general, UMK and UMB SE2016 data collection aims to find out the business profile that can be used as material for planning macro economic activities and the resulting data will be used as reference for the next survey. MSE and UMB SE2016 Data Collection covers the collection and presentation of data on UMK and UMB business / company activities in detail and up to date by category of business field (excluding agriculture field category) at district, provincial and national level.

UMK and UMB data collection activities lasted for 2 months ie August and September. Officers in the district of Deli Serdang as many as 242 people with the number of businesses recorded as many as 1522 UMB and 8,500 MSEs. The previous enumerators have attended the training to obtain material related activities that include the concept / definition, methodology and SOP implementation so that every officer has understood the data collection and work according to the SOP.
