Based on the production approach, the highest business growth was achieved by the transportation and warehousing business sector by 17.13 percent, followed by the business sector providing accommodation and food and drink by 9.18 percent, and the information and communication business field by 8.73 percent.

Three business fields that give a dominant role to the GRDP of Deli Serdang Regency according to business fields in 2022, namely: Processing Industry business field of 30.59 percent; wholesale and retail trading business field; car and motorcycle repairs by 17.74 percent; and construction business field of 16.16 percent.
