Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in December 2021 increased compared to November 2021, from US$988.88 million to US$1.14 billion, an increase of 14.96 percent. When compared to December 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 51.86 percent

The categories of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in December 2021 compared to November 2021 were animal/vegetable fats and oils of US$109.43 million (29.80%).

Exports to the United States in December 2021 were the largest at US$144.93 million, followed by China at US$140.55 million and Japan at US$59.84 million with the contribution of the three reaching 30.38 percent.

According to the main group of export destinations in December 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$311.29 (27.38%)
