Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in January 2021 reached 8 visits, experiencing a decrease of 85.19 percent compared to those arriving in December 2020 with 54 visits.
• For the January 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra has decreased by 99.96 percent compared to the same period in 2020, namely from 20,744 visits in 2020 down to 8 visits in 2021.
• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in January 2021 reached an average of 37.63 percent, or decreased by 3.39 points compared to December 2020 of 41.02 percent.
• The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in January 2021 reached 1.92 days, an increase of 0.22 points compared to December 2020.
• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during January 2021 reached 157,342 people, an increase of 17.88 percent compared to December 2020 which reached 133,481 people.
• The number of (domestic) inter-island sea transport passengers departing in January 2021 was 5,329 people, up 49.10 percent compared to the previous month of 3,574 people.
