INTEGRATED BPS-STATISTICS PARTNER RECRUITMENT

Partners are one of the components of human resources (HR) that are often used by BPS in conducting censuses and surveys. Partners together with BPS organic employees will take to the field to carry out BPS activities, such as data on Population Census, Economic Census, Agricultural Census, National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), and other surveys.

            The importance of partners is as important as the quality of the data collected by these partners. Therefore, recruitment of partners must go through selection in several stages. In 2019, the Deli Serdang District BPS conducted two integrated partner selection stages, namely written selection and administration and interviews. The results of administrative selection were announced on Friday, February 22, 2019. Prospective partners who passed the administrative selection then took part in written selection and interviews conducted on February 25-27 2018.

            Selection of interviews is done to find out some parameters needed by a BPS partner. For example knowledge about BPS, sincerity of partners, commitment, introduction to work areas, transportation equipment used and so on. Selection of interviews is conducted by BPS organic employees. This selection is expected to guarantee the quality of partners and data collected by these partners.

            Partners who will be selected, either as enumerators, supervisors, editors, or entry interpreters in processing, of course will be given training or briefings in advance so that the concepts and definitions used in the activities can be correct and precise so that the quality of the data is maintained.
